John Rupp - B.S./NSCA-CSCS As well as a personal trainer for EFF, I am also the High School Strength and Conditioning Coach at Clark Montessori Jr/Sr High in Cincinnati, OH. I attended Wilmington College from 05'-09' and received my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a minor in coaching. Upon graduation I began my career at Ignition Athletics Performance Group in Mason where I was an assistant coach for the NFL Combine program; as well as high school and collegiate strength and speed coach. During my time at Ignition I also volunteered at Xavier University under head strength coach Matt Jennings and assistant coach Rich Jacobs to gain knowledge and hands on experience with Division I athletes.
I began personal training in early 2011 with Urban Active Fitness. Going into the one-on-one personal training environment was something that completely changed my life forever. The ability to change peoples' lives and help guide them along their fitness path is something very special about this industry. I am very passionate about what I do and find such gratitude in seeing client's reach goals they never thought were possible.
Some of my hobbies include playing golf, guitar, fishing and reading. I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends.
Joe Becerril- Owner/ Personal Trainer I have over four years of experience in the fitness industry, and fourteen in management. Starting as an assistant Personal Training Director for Urban Active in 2009, I was quickly promoted to become the Personal Training director at the Deerfield location ,where I held dual roles as both a trainer, and the director of the program. After a year in that location, I was promoted again to run the largest Training program for Urban Active in Cincinnati. I held that position for almost two years through the sale of Urban Active, and the transition to LA Fitness. I opened this fitness center because of my desire to have more control over my program, and to ensure a more intimate, caring environment for the clients. I hold two certifications through ISSA (International Sports Science Association), and I am a member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as I study for their NSCA-CSCS certification. I pride myself on being able to properly train individuals with many different goals, and levels of fitness. From novices with no knowledge about strength training, to those with special medical issues, to those wishing to compete in Fitness and Body Building shows, and even athletes trying to get to the next level, I can put together a program that will lead to success.
